Burger's Park
Burger's Park was founded in 1870 as a botanical garden and later named after Thomas F. Burgers, the park reflect Pretoria's heritage. As the fourth President of the South African Republic, his statue stands within the park.
Burger's Park was formally a botanical garden with exotic lawns, a larege variety of trees, commemorating events. there is also a diverse collection of exotic flowers.
Design features include:
Bandstand which was erected in 1895, traditionally used for music performances
Fish pond dating back to the 1890s
Opposite the park is the Victorian styled Melrose House Museum
The Park is close to the Pretoria CBD
