LA CHAUMIERE, A COUNTRY GUEST HOUSE IN MIDRAND
La Chaumière is a magnificent thatched guesthouse surrounded by pastoral gardens that create a tranquil setting. Guests are accommodated in individually decorated double rooms or in garden cottages. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and is equipped with under-floor heating, a television set, a telephone, a desk and a cocktail fridge to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Guests are invited to make use of the beautifully decorated reception rooms, bar, pool, lapa and tennis court.
Continental or English Breakfast is served in an elegant cottage style dining room.
Your host is Thérèse Durand, who lives on the premises and has created the enchanting atmosphere of her French heritage. She'll prepare a three-course cordon bleu dinner by arrangement.
Halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, La Chaumière is ideally situated for all travellers, tourists and business executives.

La Chaumiere is twinned with a 3 double-room game lodge in Mabalingwe, 200km north-west of Midrand that guests may have all to themselves for a breakaway in Big 5 territory!
