The Mongena Game Lodge is situated in a reserve coverning 600 Hectares of bushveld with the Pienaarsriver and Boekenhouts river running throught the reserve. Animals on the reserve include buffalo, rhino, hippo, giraffe, eland, springbuck, impala, zebra, various wildebeest species and others.

Mongena Reserve has a variety of birdlife that has held surprises for even veteran bird watchers. Fishing or bird watching, game drives and clay pigeon shooting are all part of the fun.
